Alex Sepkus

Alex Šepkus was a renowned jewelry designer known for his unique and intricate designs. Here are just a few details about his work:

Distinctive Style

Šepkus was best known for his intricate carving technique that made his jewels instantly recognizable. His work was characterized by:

      • Unique and timeless designs that were not trend-driven
      • Microscopic details visible under a loupe
      • Signature textures and motifs, exemplified in collections like Orchard, Little Windows, and Candy

Šepkus’ approach to design was deeply personal. He often said, “I want to make things I’ve never seen before,” and believed his ideas flowed from his fingertips.

Legacy and Impact

Alex Šepkus passed away on September 5, 2021, at the age of 67 due to complications associated with lymphoma. His death prompted an outpouring of grief and appreciation from collectors, retail partners, and fellow designers. Šepkus left behind:

      • A devoted following of collectors and admirers
      • A successful company employing 20 people, many of whom had been with him for decades
      • An “extraordinary archive” of unreleased work
      • A lasting impact on the jewelry industry, with many considering him a genius in his field

Alex Šepkus’ jewelry continues to be celebrated for its unprecedented creativity, technical acumen, and understated elegance. His work remains highly sought after and is carried by prestigious retailers across the United States.

This allows us to show you all angles of the design (and even try it on!) so that you can be sure it’s perfect before we fabricate your custom jewelry.
